His name has been included on the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire and will be included on the  Rolls of Honour that, when complete, will be kept on public display in the Chapel of the Royal Hospital  Chelsea in London.

 THE SON OF JOHN RODAWAY  AND MARY ( MAITLAND)  John is my grandfather's brother

Served in many locations, including Germany, Holland, Aden, Bahrain, Zambia, Malaya, Singapore and Gan
Born in Liverpool (guess that makes me one of the Liverpool Rodaways      father was Richard Henry Rodaway who served between the wars and during WW2 in the Liverpool Kings Regt.                                      Had uncles Walter and William (Billly) Rodaway who served in the army during WW2.  Also an uncle Fredrick (Freddie) Rodaway who served in the navy during WW2. All came from Liverpool.   currently retired and living in Harrow, Middlesex

PTE,3519048 John Rodaway enlisted on 31 Aug 1923 as a regular for 7/5 years, and was aged 18 years 2 months. Born and enlisted in Liverpool, and was a general labourer. His next of kin was his mother Margaret, of 29 Warburton Road, Kensington, Liverpool. His date of discharge / becoming non-effective is 8 April 1931 and the comment reads "Died sarcoma of lung B.M.H. Poona".
Younger brother to  PTE Christopher Rodaway South.Lancashire regiment  died 7/8/1917 information in the ww1 section
